LONELY FOOTSTEPS (Frank Macdonald)
(D7) Lonely (G) footsteps follow (C) me a(G)round
Lonely (Am) footsteps (D) a familiar (G) sound (D7)
Lonely (G) teardrops a fa(C)miliar (G) taste
And (Am) lonely days and (D) nights are mine to (C) waste(G)
From the (D) outside looking in people (G) like to give advice
(G) Time don't wait (Em) no one son so (A) get on with your (C) life (D)
Well I (G) know friends want what's best for me
But I don't think they (C) under(G)stand
How it (Am) feels to watch the (D) girl you love
(D7) slip right through your (G) hands (D7)
Lonely footsteps follow me around lonely footsteps a familiar sound
Lonely teardrops a familiar taste and lonely days and nights are mine to waste
Sometimes when I dream of her everything seems so real
We're back in each others arms again feeling how we used to feel
But daylight and the cold hard truth come creeping in on me
And all that's left of the love we had are dreams and memories and
Lonely footsteps that follow me around lonely footsteps a familiar sound
Lonely teardrops a familiar taste and lonely days and nights are mine to waste
EVERY OTHER SONG (Frank Macdonald )
INTRO: G / / / Am / / / D C Bm Am G / CG
(G) Now I'm not chasing sympathy by (Am) bringing myself down
(C) Games like that can only waste good (G) time
I've just been listening to my radio and (Am) playing favourite songs
And I (C) thought you'd like to (D) know what's on my (G) mind, for I find that
(G) Every other song I hear's about (Am) drinking too much beer
And (C) unrequited love that stays and (G) grows
And at times like now it seems that every (Am) other song I hear
Was (C) written and sung for (D) me and me (G) alone
Tonight I feel like going out and maybe having fun
Like last night and the last few nights before
But words like blue and lonely keep on coming back to me
And fun means getting drunk and on the floor, now I'm sure that
Every other song I hear's about drinking too much beer
And unrequited love that stays and grows
And at times like now it seems that every other song I hear
Was written and sung for me and me alone (stop ... Pick up)
A / / / Bm / / / D / / / A / / /
(A) Well you said you didn't love me and I (Bm) said I didn't care
But (D) we both know what I was trying to (A) do
Now alcohol and sad sad songs are (Bm) all that keep me warm
And (D) you don't care that (E) I'm still loving (A) you, (E) and
(A) Every other song I hear's about (Bm) drinking too much beer
And (D) unrequited love that stays and (A) grows
And at times like now it seems that every (Bm) other song I hear
Was (D) written and sung for (E) me and me (A) alone

BEER AND WHISKY (Frank Macdonald)
INTRO: G G(F#) G(E) D / / / D7 / G / / /
(G) Hey mister barman bring that (C) bottle over (G) here
I (D) need another drink to (G) take away the (A) taste of all these (D) tears
And I (G) know that beer and whisky never (C) cured a broken (G) heart
But if it (D) helps to get me through the night I'll (D7) count that as a (G) start
G G(F#) G(E) D / / / D7 / G / / /
And turn up the jukebox 'cause I think I know this song
About a man who done his woman right while she only done him wrong
And I'll drink my beer and whisky and nurse my broken heart
And I'll think about the love we had before it fell apart
Well I (D) know that folks around me here see a (G) drunken lonely fool
(D) Singing songs of love gone wrong (G) and falling off his (G7) stool
But (C) I don't care what no-one thinks 'cept the (G) girl who done me harm
And (A) she's a thousand (A7) miles away in (D) someone else's (D7) arms
So I'm here to spend some money and I'm here to spend some time
I can't go back to an empty bed while she's still on my mind
So I'll drink my beer and whisky knowing it won't cure my heart
But if it helps to get me through the night I'll count that as a start
G G(F#) G(E) D / / / D7 / G / / /
IS ANYBODY GOING TO SAN ANTONE (Dave Kirby & Glenn Martin)
(G) Rain dripping off the (C) brim of my hat (D) Sure is cold today (G)
Here I am walking down (C) 66 (D) wish she hadn't done me that (G) way
Sleeping (G) under a table in a (C) roadside park a (D) man could wake up (G) dead
But it sure feels warmer (C) than it did (D) sleeping in our king size (G) bed
Is (G) anybody going to (C) San Antone or (D) Phoenix, Ariz(G)ona
Any place is all right as (C) long as I can for(D)get I've ever (G) known her
Wind whipping down the neck of my shirt like I ain't got nothing on
But I'd rather fight the wind and rain than what I've been fighting at home
Yonder comes a truck with the U.S. Mail people writing letters back home
Tomorrow she'll probably want me back but I'll still be just as gone
Is anybody going to San Antone or Phoenix, Arizona
Any place is all right as long as I can forget I've ever known her
A HOUSE OF GOLD (Hank Williams)
People (G) steal (C) they cheat and (G) lie for wealth and what it will buy
Don't they (C) know on the judgement (G) day that gold and (D) silver will melt a(G)way
I'd rather be (C) in a deep dark (G) grave and know that my poor soul was saved
Than to live in this (C) world in a house of (G) gold and deny my (D) God and doom my (G) soul
What good is gold and silver too if your heart's not pure and true
Sinner hear me when I say get down on your knees and pray
I'd rather be in a deep dark grave and know that my poor soul was saved
Than to live in this world in a house of gold and deny my God and doom my soul
I SAW THE LIGHT (Hank Williams)
(G) I wandered so aimless life filled with sin (C) I wouldn't let my dear Saviour (G) in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night Praise The Lord (D) I saw the (G) light
I saw the light I saw the light (C) no more darkness no more (G) night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight Praise the Lord (D) I saw the (G) light
I was a fool to wander and stray For straight is the gate and narrow the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right Praise The Lord I saw the light
I saw the light I saw the light no more darkness no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight Praise the Lord I saw the light
Just like a blind man I wandered along Worries and fear I claimed for my own
Now like the blind man that God gave back his sight Praise The Lord I saw the light
I saw the light I saw the light no more darkness no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight Praise the Lord I saw the light
NEW MEMORIES (John Miller)
INTRO: C C G / / / D / / / C / / / G / / /
(D) Once there was a time when (C) I could turn my mind
(D) back to all the happy times we (G) shared
Now (D) no more will I dream for I (C) wiped my memory clean
(D) that day you (D7) said you never (G) cared (D) now
I've got (G) new memories to re(D)place The ones that used to (D7) let me see your (G) face (D)
And though I (G) try I (G7) can't find a (C) trace (Am)
Of the (G) love these new (D) memories have re(C)placed (G)
Nothing could compare with the way you wore your hair Though I don't quite recall the shade
And when I'm feeling down the heartache comes around But every day a little more it fades
(G) (C) I Don't (D) want to think (G) about you (Am) I've spent (D) too long on my (Em) own (D)
(C) If I could (D) learn to live with(G)out (Em) you I'd get (A) along (A7) I'd get (D) along (D7)
'Cause now I've got new memories to replace The ones that used to let me see your face
And though I try I can't find a trace Of the love these new memories have replaced
Of the (G) love these new (D) memories have re(C)placed (G)

G / CG / CG / DG

(D) I got nothing to go home for I'm sick and tired of (C) being (G) alone (C) (G)
I'm (G) going out to find me someone Who's got a little bit of (D) comfort to (C) spare
I'm (D) heading on down the highway (C)Hoping to (G) find some (D) loving (G) there (C) (G) (C) (G)
I'm Heading down the highway doing about a hundred or more
Don't give a damn about no speed traps I'm gonna keep my foot on the floor
For ever since that woman left me I've been sitting home going insane
Now I'm heading on down the highway hoping to find myself again (C7) (G) (G7)
Well (C7) everything seems to be going wrong ever (G) since she walked (G7) away
(C7) Now I've just got to learn to be strong I'm getting (A7) better at it every (D7) day

WE'VE FALLEN OUT OF LOVE AGAIN (John Miller)
We've fallen out of love again how many times has that been
And is it ever gonna end we've fallen out of love again
I can't stand the lonely night when you're not there
But when I turn out the light I find it very hard to care
And our darling baby girl is crying again
While we tear her world apart Thank God she's too young to understand
We've fallen out of love again how many times has that been
and is it ever gonna end we've fallen out of love again
The price of love is way too high and though we try we can't pretend
We've used up more than we could afford there's nothing left to spend
We've fallen out of love again how many times has that been
and is it ever gonna end we've fallen out of love again
And I can't stand the lonely days here on my own
But if it's got to be that way I'm prepared to play along
I'll just dry my tears away and forget about the pain
There's nothing more to say now we've fallen out of love again
We've fallen out of love again how many times has that been
and is it ever gonna end we've fallen out of love again
OUT IN THE DARKNESS (John Miller)
Intro: G / / / C / / / G / / / C / / /
There's a (G) lonely bell ringing (C) somewhere (G) calling me back (C) home
(Am) I'm in the middle of (D) nowhere (C) with no idea just (D) where I'm going
I see (C) bright lights up (G) ahead and I don't know (G7) what to (C) do
(Am) should I (D) stop or push on (G) through (D)
Well it's a (G) long way (C) down the road (G) that I've already (C) come
(Am) And I'm carrying the (D) burden of (C) guilt for all the (D) things I've done
And there's a (C) girl back there (G) somewhere who's crying over (C) me
(Am) Because I (D) wanted to be (G) free (C) (G)
I've been (C) wandering so (D) long
(G) Left some broken (D<add F#>) hearts along the (Em) way
Never (A) loved any (A7) one enough to (C) stay (D)
Still that (G) lonely bell keeps (C) ringing and it (G) fills my heart with (C) pain
(Am) But I'd rather keep (D) travelling (C) than ever go back (D) home again
And the (C) bright lights hurt my (G) eyes and keep me (D) from my (C) rest
(Am) So I'm gonna (D) stay out in the (C) darkness (G)

(Bm) But you keep (C) telling me (Am) you want to push on (D) through
(C) What else (Am) can a lonely heart (C) do
Just as (G) sure as the (D) lone star (C) shines Every(D)thing is gonna (C) work out fine

Am / Em / Am
I could (Am) settle down and be doing just fine
Till I (Em) hear an old freight rolling down the (Am) line
Then I hurry straight home and pack For if I (Em) didn't go I believe I'd blow my (Am) stack
I love you baby but you gotta understand
When the (Em) Lord made me he made a ramblin' (Am) man
Now some folks might say that I'm no good That I wouldn't settle down if I could
But when that open road starts to calling me There's something over the hill that I gotta see
I know it's hard but you gotta understand When the Lord made me he made a ramblin' man
I love to see the towns crawling by And to ride these rails 'neath God's blue sky
Let me travel this land from the mountains to the sea For that's the life I believe he meant for me
And when I'm gone and at my grave you stand Just say God's called home your ramblin' man

Wondering why her love has turned to hate
If she came running back to me saying can't we try again
I'd say sweet pie you're just in time to be too late
For I've Found a new love found a true love She's everything this poor boy needs for sure
I lost my blue love when I found my new love Now I wont be lonesome anymore

GEORGIA ON A FAST TRAIN (Billy Joe Shaver)
(G) On a rainy and windy morning on the (C) day that I was born
In that old (G) sharecropping one room country (D) shack
They (G) say my Mama left me the (C) day before she had me
She just (G) hit the road and (D) never once looked (G) back
Well I'd just like to mention my Grandma's old age pension
Is the reason that I'm standing here today
I got all my country learning milking and a churning
Picking cotton raising hell and baling hay
(G) I've been to Georgia on a (C) fast train honey (G) I wasn't born no yester(D)day
Got a (G) good Christian raising and an (C) 8th Grade education
There ain't no (G) need for y'all a (D) treating me this (G) way
Oh, my sweet caroline I don't guess I'll ever find
Another woman put together like you are
I love your wiggle and your walking and your big city talking
And your brand new shiny plymouth rag top car
So let's hurry up and wait in this land of give and take
It seems that haste makes for waste every time
And I declare to my soul when I hear them engines roll
That someday I'm gonna get my share of mine
I've been to Georgia on a fast train honey I wasn't born no yesterday
Got a good Christian raising and an 8th Grade education
There ain't no need for y'all a treating me this way
A DEEPER HURT (John Miller)
D C G D C G D
Used to think our love was strong suddenly it's all gone wrong
and I don't think I can take it anymore
If you're so sure inside that our love has died then what are you still hiding' round here for
They say when romance ends someone will always win is that what you were trying to prove
If it is you've passed the test but honey I'm not impressed I guess that it was just my turn to lose
Now I've got a deeper hurt than anyone could understand then again no one else will ever know
For I've got a deep deep heart that I can hide my sorrow in
I'm not gonna wear it like a badge anymore
D C G D C G D
Finally came to understand that it was over when I saw your bags packed in the hall
Can't look you in the eye too scared that I might cry I just stare blindly at the wall
I know it sounds absurd but I can't find the words to say exactly what is on my mind
You offered me a way to have the final say but I think I'll pass this time
Now I've got a deeper hurt than anyone could understand then again no one else will ever know
For I've got a deep deep heart that I can hide my sorrow in
I'm not gonna wear it like a badge anymore
For I've got a deep deep heart that I can hide my sorrow in
I'm not gonna wear it like a badge anymore
REAL GHOST TOWN (John Miller)
nestled in a valley of rolling hills by the side of a river are some cotton mills
and it's nigh on thirty years since they shut down
it was back in 'sixty-eight that the company finally closed it's gates
and turned this place into a real ghost town
with no work to do folks moved away and the town fell into a state of decay
until one day some bright spark came around
he said there ain't no gold in them their hills but there's money in them cotton mills
if we turn this place into a real ghost town
we'll make one of them mills a hotel and another one will do real well
if we fill it's shell up with a shopping mall
the last of all we'll strip inside and replace it with a fairground ride
so folks can come and have themselves a ball
yes they decided history is a million dollar industry and they love to see you lay your money down
they'll slap your heritage on a plate and serve it to you while you wait
ain't it great inside a real ghost town
now one of them mills is a hotel and another one's doing real well
since they filled it's shell up with a shopping mall
the last of all they've stripped inside and replaced it with a fairground ride
so come along and have yourself a ball
yes step right up and meet your host she's a real life genuine man made ghost
from coast to coast her legend is renowned
people come from far and near and there's hundreds of thousands every year
they all wanna hear about a real ghost town
and we'd love to see you here inside a real ghost town

BUMMIN' AROUND (John Miller)
Spent my whole life running round took a red paint brush to every town
every party's favourite clown that's me
But lately I've been feeling strange as if my life's about to change
'til I reach the point of danger I know where I'll be
Just bumming around I've been doing it for so long now singing songs I picked up along the way
Just bumming around I ain't thinking about settling down maybe I'll get around to it some day

LOVE TO GIVE YOU (John Miller)
Honey you're the kind of girl that I've waited for all of my life maybe longer
Now I've met you I might not have to wait anymore and my feelings keep on getting stronger
'cause I've got love to give you a little gift from me
you only have to Say the words and it's yours to keep
I've got love to give you and it comes for free you only have to fall in love with me
Heaven knows I never thought I'd meet a girl like you and I gave up trying long ago
Now it seems as if my dreams are going to come true and there's something I want you to know,
I've got love to give you a little gift from me
you only have to Say the words and it's yours to keep
I've got love to give you and it comes for free you only have to fall in love with me
Can I combine your heart with mine until our lives should end
can't you see I'd hate to be left on my own again when
I've got love to give you a little gift from me you only have to Say the words and it's yours to keep
I've got love to give you and it comes for free you only have to fall in love with me
you only have to fall in love with me
HEART ON THE LINE (John Miller)
What you gonna do now your love has flown away
it's hard to pull through when you've said all that there was to say
And you've put your heart on the line waiting for that midnight train...It was running late again
There is no reward for unrequited love to win
and it seems so hard when those tears start to flowing again
And you've put your heart on the line and that train just didn't come
though you waited there so long
Now it's been so long since you had someone to love you
you try to be strong when you know that it's not easy to do
When you've put your heart on the line waiting for that midnight train...It was running late again
you've put your heart on the line and that train just didn't come
though you waited there so long you waited there so long
LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL (John Miller)
look homeward angel it's time to go for you can't stay around here anymore
i've loved you so long now we must part look homeward angel the devil's got my heart
once i was happy you were here with me now i'm in barstool heaven with a bottle for company
drinking devil's liquor till i can't see i think it's time you said goodbye to me
look homeward angel it's time to go for you can't stay around here anymore
i've loved you so long now we must part look homeward angel the devil's got my heart
i would throw away the bottle but he stays my hand
i wish that he had picked upon some other sinner man
now it looks like heaven's finally gone and closed the door
look homeward angel i can't love you anymore
look homeward angel it's time to go for you can't stay around here anymore
i've loved you so long now we must part look homeward angel the devil's got my heart
look homeward angel the devil's got my heart
LIVING WITHOUT YOU (John Miller)
Here I sit bleary eyed I haven't slept a wink all night for thinking about you
and as the sun begins to rise I realise just why I'm feeling so blue
I reach for your pillow to run my fingers through your hair
and that empty space reminds me that you're no longer there
The coffee pot holds one more cup just enough to wake me up to face the day
But there's no one there to share it so I think I'll skip my breakfast again today
I don't have much appetite it's no fun eating on your own
when that empty chair at the table reminds me how it feels to be alone
And I can't get used to feeling this way I sit and blame myself for your going away
I can't get used to feeling so blue and the life I longed for ain't worth living without you
I'm gonna have to spend my days walking in a kind of haze since you went away
And every night that I don't sleep it makes me wearier with each passing day
Wish I knew where you had gone I'd run out and beg you to come home
For when I look around me every little thing reminds me that you're gone
And I can't get used to feeling this way I sit and blame myself for your going away
And I don't know when I've ever been so blue how can I go on living without you

ALL I SEE IS YOU (Frank Macdonald & John Miller)
Your kiss awoke me from a dream of a love that never could have been
Old memories fade from view now all I see is you
Your smile could melt the coldest heart with a love that never will depart
My grey sky's turned to blue now all I see is you
I'll forget the fears that used to haunt me My broken heart lies firmly in the past
I hear you say you want me and my heartaches disappear
Now I've found a love I know will last
Your touch could dry an angel's tears Your voice is music to my ears
My lonely days are through now all I see is you
instrumental
I'll forget the fears that used to haunt me My broken heart lies firmly in the past
I hear you say you want me and my heartaches disappear
Now I've found a love I know will last
Your touch could dry an angel's tears Your voice is music to my ears
My lonely days are through now all I see is you
And I can't believe it's true now all I see is you
I MUST HAVE BEEN OUT OF MY MIND (John Miller)
Well I must have been out of my mind treating you so unkind
And making you think that I don't love you no more
Don't you worry your sweet little head I didn't mean a word I said
I must have been out of my mind Honey will you still be mine
Well sometimes folks act a little crazy without no reason or rhyme
And it seems to me in some strange way that my brain's been working overtime
I've been thinking thoughts I never ought to ever want to be
And i just don't know what's come over me
Well I must have been out of my mind treating you so unkind
And making you think that I don't love you no more
Don't you worry your sweet little head I didn't mean a word I said
I must have been out of my mind Honey will you still be mine
Well i guess there's just no explaining the way I acted before
And I've got no right to start complaining If you say that you won't be home no more
I'm truly sorry I made you worry won't you hurry on back to me
'cause without you girl my world is misery
Well I must have been out of my mind treating you so unkind
And making you think that I don't love you no more
Don't you worry your sweet little head I didn't mean a word I said
I must have been out of my mind Honey will you still be mine
I must have been out of my mind Honey will you still be mine
TAKE ME BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO (John Miller)
Take me back to San Francisco to the only city that called me a friend
Carry me up to the cross on Mount Davidson And scatter my soul to the wind
I've always lived on the wrong side a constant companion of crime
Now they've locked me down in this dirty old town To die ahead of my time
The further I travelled from home Lord The farther my life went astray
Now i wait for the breath of the angel of death to take my freedom away
Take me back to San Francisco to the only city that called me a friend
Carry me up to the cross on Mount Davidson And scatter my soul to the wind
Father I won't ask for earthly forgiveness It's not fair that you should decide
Only the Lord can grant me that reward when I get to the other side
But won't you please tell the warden to grant me my final request
Make him carry me away to the city on the bay And lay my poor soul to rest, make him
Take me back to San Francisco to the only city that called me a friend
Carry me up to the cross on Mount Davidson And scatter my soul to the wind
Guess I was just a kid acting smart pretending I was a man
And I swear it's just breaking my heart That I'll never see that Golden Gate again
So won't you please tell the warden to grant me my final request
Make him carry me away to the city on the bay And lay this poor sinner to rest, make him
Take me back to San Francisco to the only city that called me a friend
Carry me up to the cross on Mount Davidson And scatter my soul to the wind,
scatter my soul to the wind
SWEETHEART HOEDOWN (Frank Macdonald & John McCusker)
INSTRUMENTAL
TRYIN' TO FORGET ABOUT YOU (Frank Macdonald )
Well it's Saturday night I'm feeling all right I'm holding a dollar or two
Me and the boys been making some noise with a table full of drinking to do
There's a honky tonk band taking the stand making them old
And I'm shooting some pool and acting the fool trying to forget about you
Forget about you I'll forget about you It's easy to say I'm feeling okay but Lord it's so hard to do
The day you walked out my life cut my heart like a knife
Now there's nothing to do but keep pushing on through trying to forget about you
Well I've been working all week now I'm dead on my feet Earning an honest man's pay
Dragging on home to sit all alone wishing my nights away
But when the working's all done and the weekend comes I know what I'm gonna do
I'll be drowning my blues in roadhouse booze trying to forget about you
Forget about you I'll forget about you It's easy to say I'm feeling okay but Lord it's so hard to do
The day you walked out my life cut my heart like a knife
Now there's nothing to do but keep pushing on through trying to forget about you
And everyone thinks I'm the life of the party Always the first to start singing a song
Hanging out with the crowd laughing just a little too loud
And all the time your memory's lingering on
And now it's Saturday night I'm feeling all right I'm holding a dollar or two
Me and the boys been making some noise with a table full of drinking to do
There's a honky tonk band taking the stand belting out the Lovesick Blues
And I'm shooting some pool and acting the fool trying to forget about you
Forget about you I'll forget about you It's easy to say I'm feeling okay but Lord it's so hard to do
The day you walked out my life cut my heart like a knife
Now there's nothing to do but keep pushing on through trying to forget about you
Now there's nothing to do but keep pushing on through trying to forget about you
LET ME BE YOUR MAN TONIGHT (John Miller)
If you need a little loving baby I'll be around Need some turtle doving baby I won't let you down
If you like some hugging darling I can hold you tight Won't you let me be your man tonight
I'm looking out for someone to share this life of mine
Come along and join in the fun we'll have a real good time
You don't have to worry 'cause you know I'll treat you right Won't you let me be your man tonight
Well I'm partial to some kissing and I bet you taste divine
Find out what you're missing baby put your lips to mine
I don't know if you want me but I'm hoping that you might Won't you let me be your man tonight
Well I knew you were the one dear when I first saw your eyes
Now like the big game hunter I'm out to claim my prize
I'll cast my fishing pole your way and hope you'll take a bite Won't you let me be your man tonight
(Well I knew you were the one dear when I first saw your eyes
Now like the big game hunter Oooh Whee!)
I'll cast my fishing pole your way and hope you'll take a bite Won't you let me be your man tonight
Won't you let me be your man tonight
DRINKIN' ABOUT YOU ALL NIGHT (Frank Macdonald & John Miller)
I ain't doing too well this morning I'm wasted all over again
I woke up in my clothes lord only know where my misery's gonna end
But every evening it's the same old story one more and I feel all right
But one becomes four and a whole lot more until I'm drinking about you all night
Well after all this time you're still on my mind when I thought you were gone for good
It's like your memory's pouring the beer and the wine and I drink it all up like a good fool should
But I'm the only fool I'm fooling if I think it's gonna be all right
'Cause hard as I try I can't get by unless I'm drinking about you all night
Well I wake up every morning and tell myself that today's gonna be the day
When I'm gonna start pulling myself into linebut I know that I don't mean a word I say
'Cause every evening it's the same old story one more and I feel all right
But one becomes four and a whole lot more until I'm drinking about you all night
Yeah one becomes four and a whole lot more until I'm drinking about you all night
CLOSING TIME (John Miller)
Closing time closing time has come around Closing time closing time has let me down
I had some sorrows that I was trying to drown It's too late now closing time has come around
I'd like to get my hands on the man who invented this closing time
'Cause I bet he never had a broken heart or trouble on his mind
I bet he never got on his knees crying Mister Bartender please won't you let me stay
For if I've got to go heaven knows I don't think I'll live to drink another day
Closing time closing time has come around Closing time closing time has let me down
I had some sorrows that I was trying to drown It's too late now closing time has come around
Things ain't always been this bad Once I had me a sweetheart that I could call my own
My love for her was strong but I waited too long to tell her And now I'm all alone
Like old Kaw-Liga Lord I never said a word When I should have told her from the start
Oh why did I hesitate now it's too late She has called closing time on her heart
Closing time closing time has come around Closing time closing time has let me down
I had some sorrows that I was trying to drown It's too late now closing time has come around
I STILL MISS SOMEONE (J.R. Cash)
At my door the leaves are falling a cold wild wind will come
Sweethearts walk by together and I still miss someone
I go out on a party and look for a little fun but I find a darkened corner for I still miss someone
Oh I never got over those blue eyes I see them everywhere
I miss those arms that held me when all the love was there
I wonder if she's sorry for leaving what we've begun
There's some one for me somewhere And I still miss someone
WHITE FREIGHTLINER BLUES (Townes Van Zandt)
I'm going out on the highway to listen to them big trucks whine (x2)

White freightliner won't you steal away my mind
Well it's bad news from Houston half of my friends are dying (x2)
White freightliner won't you steal away my mind
Tonight I'm gonna ramble get back to where I came (x2)
That old white freightliner's gonna steal away my brain
CRAZY HEART (Maurice Murray & Fred Rose)
You thought she cared for you and so you acted smart Go on and break you crazy heart
You lived on promises I knew would fall apart Go on and break you crazy heart
You never would admit you were mistaken You didn't even know the chances you were taking
I knew you couldn't win I told you from the start Go on and break you crazy heart
I knew you'd wake up and find her missing I tried my best to warn you but you wouldn't listen
You told me I was wrong you thought that you were smart Go on and break you crazy heart
